The Strategies for an Ageing Population Conference heard how millions of people delay reporting their hearing loss, and how this amounts to a hidden crisis in public health. Speaking at the conference, Jackie said, "We’re calling on the government to take immediate action, to recognise the social and economic benefits of hearing screening and to invest in a programme to support independence and improve quality of life for millions." |
